Its more expensive because it seems better in many ways somehow.
Friendly staff, open spaces (no claustrophobic feeling like in some supermarkets), great selection of organic and healthier options. They also have a bar in the back, huge prepared food selection, sushi made-to-order, and a large beer and wine selection. My new favorite grocery store!
Nice clean location. Look for specials and deals to maximize your value. Great selection of craft beers and wine as well. This location has charging stations for electric vehicles.
They also have a restaurant and a take out cafe that have some fantastic, healthy, fresh dishes. During warmer months they have outdoor seating.
The store itself is very clean and modern. The produce always looks amazing. The meat department has house made sausages, marinated meats and great cuts of beef. The staff is really friendly and accommodating.
It is always a pleasure to shop at Whole Foods.

This is the alternative to the abundance of half- food stores we've all been waiting for! Nearly all of the food is whole!! Except of course for all of the fruits, vegetables, fish, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, cheese, sushi, sandwiches, pizza, and granola cut into pieces.
Although Whole Foods is a bit pricey, there several departments that can't be beat by any other grocery stores. The cheese department is out of this world! Huge selection of cheeses from every corner of the planet. They also feature fresh pastas there as well. Not prepackaged fresh, but actual purchase by the pound fresh. My other favorite department is seafood. Vast array of fish, shellfish and all things sea. The fish is really fresh, and the oysters are always excellent. They have many types of fish that other stores don't offer.
Ample parking. Great food selection. Organic etc. Meats
Fruits a salad bar. Prepared foods at relatively fair pricing . Worth what paid for. Quick check out.
